Gucci Intense Oud is a dark, polished woody-amber fragrance centered around smoky incense, warm woods and smooth oud. Black pepper and olibanum create a spicy, resinous opening before cedarwood, sandalwood and amber give the heart a rich woody character. Leather, patchouli, gurjun balsam and oud form a deep, smoky and slightly balsamic drydown. Gucci officially classifies it as an Ambery Woody fragrance. 

The oud here is smooth rather than aggressively animalic, making Intense Oud considerably more approachable than many traditional oud fragrances. The overall profile is woody, smoky, resinous, spicy and refined, with enough warmth to keep it luxurious without becoming overly sweet.
