Released in 2021 and composed by perfumer Ilias Ermenidis, Enigma blends aromatic spices, creamy vanilla, saffron, woods and oud into a rich masculine scent designed especially for cooler weather and evening wear.

Jet Black Enigma opens with a strong rush of cardamom, cinnamon, ginger and pepper, immediately giving it a warm, spicy character. As it develops, saffron and vanilla soften the spices while vetiver and labdanum bring a darker, slightly resinous depth.

The drydown is where Enigma really comes together: cashmeran, cypriol, tonka, patchouli and oud create a smooth woody foundation with plenty of warmth and masculine character. The oud is supportive rather than aggressively funky, making this far easier to wear than many traditional oud fragrances. 

There are definite similarities to the Bvlgari Man in Black style of warm spicy DNA, but Enigma comes across softer, sweeter and woodier, with its saffron, vanilla and oud giving it its own identity. 

Performance

Best suited for fall, winter, cooler evenings, dates and dressed-up occasions. Expect a warm fragrance with noticeable projection early on that settles into a richer woody-spicy scent trail.
